Koh Samui 2023

After the COVID lockdown, when travel was not an option, it was good to be able to get on a plane and fly to Thailand. Eleven hours to Bangkok, followed by a 55 minute flight to Koh Samui, took us from a cold, wet London to a tropical paradise. The island takes about an hour and a half to drive around. The centre of the island is a mix of coconut plantations and what looks like an in penetrable jungle.

The best place for a coffee that we found was the Red Stone Coffee (4172 น้ำตกหินลาด 55/22 ม.2 ต.อ่างทอง อ Ko Samui District, Surat Thani 84140, Thailand) near the Wat Namtok Hin Lat, which is close to the start of the track leading to the Hin Lat waterfall.
