My good friend Nitza introduced me to Mexican food in San Diego in 1988. Compared with Mexican food I had tried in Europe, it was delicious. This is my take on the ‘San Diego fish taco’.

Beef bulgogi is a popular Korean dish known for its sweet and savory flavors. It consists of thin, marinated slices of meat, most commonly beef, grilled on a barbecue or stove-top griddle. When cooked at home, bulgogi is also often stir-fried in a pan or wok. Sirloin and rib eye are frequently used cuts of beef for the dish. Bulgogi is very popular in South Korea, where it can be found in upscale restaurants and local supermarkets as pan-ready kits.
